THE PLAYWRIGHT / WRITER

As a theatrical composer and playwright, Smolsky has created two full-length musicals. Under the direction of his professor Ryan Scott Oliver, Smolsky created multiple short musicals with songs performed at the legendary 54Below in New York City.

His most recent musical I Knew A Girl: A Musical Memory is set in the rolling hills of Galway, Ireland explores how humans cope with the loss of someone they love. This material will receive an industry reading in the Spring of 2023.

Smolsky’s musical A Question of Time explores the life and work of celebrated science-fiction adventure author Jules Verne.

Smolsky currently resides in Los Angeles where his writing skills have aided in his roles as a writer’s production assistant on Cobra Kai (Season 3 - Netflix / Sony) and Platonic (Season 1 - Apple TV+ / Sony).
